Product description

Dayana is a decorative water hyacinth vase woven into a sturdy metal frame. The natural color blends harmoniously into any living environment and corners and niches in particular are enhanced by the tall, slender vase.

The braided vase is particularly suitable as a boho-style home accessory for dried flowers, but can also be used for cut flowers if you use a waterproof container as the inner container.

Measurements & weight:

Diameter (in the widest point) x height: 30x50 cm
Weight: 0.58 kg

Our products are artfully crafted individual pieces. They may vary slightly in size, color and shape due to the production by hand and natural variations in materials.

Main material: Water Hyacinth

Our vases are made from plant fibers. They therefore wonderfully smell and feel like nature.

The water hyacinth is a tropical aquatic plant that grows on rivers and lakes. It actually comes from South America, but was also introduced in Southeast Asia. There it is considered a weed because it reproduces incredibly quickly and can cover entire bodies of water with a carpet of leaves. The resulting lack of light and oxygen causes all life underwater to die, which is why the plants have to be removed regularly. In order to prepare the plants for further processing, the leaves are cut off and the thick stems are dried in the sun for three to seven days. The result is a sustainable raw material that is available in abundance for many woven goods here at Soeji!
