Each vase is carefully and meticulously handcrafted from banana fiber. This sturdy material is skillfully shaped into the form of a classic, bulbous vase, with the design rounded off by light raffia applications at the top and bottom. Vases made of woven natural materials like Tumbak add stylish accents and harmonize especially well with dried flowers or elegant palm fronds. Green plants can also be placed decoratively inside if you use a suitable narrow inner container. This large vase, standing over half a meter tall, is sure to become one of the most striking highlights in your home, naturally emphasizing your personal style.

Main Material: Banana Fiber
Banana fiber comes from the layered stems of cultivated banana plants. The deep brown coloring occurs naturally when the fibers are dried in the sun for about a week. Afterwards, the individual strips are rolled into the characteristic strands, about 6 mm thick. Only old, dying banana plants are used for this material. In this way, these crops are given a second life as a dimensionally stable and durable raw material for many handcrafted baskets here at Soeji.
