Product description
Our bowl-shaped Raga basket is made with great care from finely woven raffia. The natural material is bleached for a long time under the tropical Indonesian sun, so that as a result, the basket takes on a strikingly light shade.
Raga is a true multi-talent in your home. Use it as a stylish fruit bowl in your kitchen to present your fresh fruit in an elegant way, or as a unique bread basket on your breakfast table that immediately attracts the attention of all guests. In addition, the artfully woven bowl can also serve as an unusual wall decoration and give your rooms an individual touch. There are no limits to your imagination when using Raga.

Main material: Raffia
Our baskets are made from plant fibers. They therefore wonderfully smell and feel like nature.
Raffia (Corypha utan) occurs naturally in the steppe and forest areas of Southeast Asia. About every two years, the plant renews its leaves and sheds the old ones, which are then collected by humans, dried in the sun for a few days to weeks and processed into wickerwork, depending on the desired degree of browning. The relative rarity and the higher processing effort make this material somewhat more expensive compared to other plant fibers. While it is hardly known in Europe, the material has proven itself with the local population in Southeast Asia in the form of all kinds of everyday objects and is very popular due to its pleasantly soft, but robust nature.
