Manduro is made by hand from the rolled fibers of old banana trees - this robust material, together with the unique pattern of cotton cords, gives it a special, exotic charm.
Manduro has two practical handles, which makes it perfect as a laundry or towel basket, for example. Depending on the size, it is also ideal as a plant basket for large indoor plants or in your living room as an eye-catching storage place for firewood.

Main material: Banana fibre
Our baskets are made from plant fibers. They therefore wonderfully smell and feel like nature.
Banana fibres are the fibres of the layered trunks of agriculturally used banana trees. The intense brown color occurs naturally when the fibres are dried under the sun for about a week. Then the individual strips are rolled into the characteristic, approximately 6 mm thick strands. Only old, dying banana trees are used for this material. This enables these crops to have a second life as a dimensionally stable and robust raw material for many handcrafted baskets here at Soeji.
